enjoy delving into the Artists' Biographies
Diana Boyd
I see the world through artist eyes, I draw inspiration from Lake Macquarie surroundings and the years spent in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
I moved from 2 dimensional artwork to 3 dimensional forms after taking sculpture at Newcastle TAFE in the late 90’s.
Fragments of the environment are created by deconstructing, manipulating and reinventing collected, found and upcycled materials. The combination of these materials with design elements such as form, line and repetition allow me to produce intimate works which invites the viewer to look beyond the obvious subject and appreciate the beauty of the found and discarded.
