enjoy delving into the Artists' Biographies
Jo Simpson
As an intuitive artist, seeking new ways to express creative ideas, I explore different substrates and materials, applying subtle modifications to processes or creatively blending processes, to find new ways of expressing shape, form and texture. My current art practice embraces felting, weaving and embroidery.
I take much of my inspiration from the scientific and natural world, in particular the Australian bush, landscape and environment.
My artwork often explores the connections between people and place and is charged with expressive energy representing a unique and distinctive portrayal and celebration of the living spirit.
