I began my sculpture journey by myself in a ‘studio’ which was actually a cupboard under the stairs. My flat mates at the time knew where I had been as there was a constant trail of plaster leading from the cupboard and leeching into various parts of the home. I found myself losing all sense of time and became obsessed with creating and when not creating, of planning the next creation.
Over the next 20 years I continually worked and played and finally began my formal tuition at Sydney Art Space. I have now had my own studio space for over 15 years and am constantly gathering information, growing my practice and challenging how materials can be used. I love every part of sculpture and love the discipline it forces me to adhere to in order to be successful. Will always be a work in progress.
