General Questions
A: Sculpture on the Farm is a biennial exhibition of indoor, garden and large-scale outdoor sculptures by Australian artists, held in Dungog, NSW. It celebrates creativity, community, and the beauty of the natural environment. This is the fifth occurrence of this highly successful and enjoyable event.
A: Sculpture on the Farm 2025 will be held Friday 29 August - Sunday 31 August 2025 at the 650 acre Dungog Common Recreation Reserve, with entry via 74 Common Road, Dungog NSW 2420. A select group of large scale sculptures will remain on public display throughout September 2025 in the Dungog Common. This will further enhance the permanent Sculpture Trail of sculptures already installed on the the Dungog Common.
A: The exhibition will be open on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 August from 9am-4pm. On Sunday 31 August it will be open from 9am-2pm.
A: Entry is $10 per person with children 18 and under FREE. The entry fee includes your coloured wrist band which provide access to the exhibition, a colour catalogue and shuttle bus to view monumental sculptures and the Sculpture Trail. Please purchase your tickets in advance by CLICKING HERE.
Donations via the Australian Cultural Fund are tax deductible and very much appreciated. They go directly toward supporting artists and future SOF Exhibitions.
A: Our exhibition began on a farm in Fosterton in 2018. As the event has grown, we’ve sought a larger, more accessible venue and have now moved to the Dungog Common on the outskirts of Dungog township.
A: Times for the sculptor talks and sculpture and nature walks will be found in the program. No need to book. You can book the workshop directly on our website. Be sure to sign up for our email newsletter to receive the latest updates and booking details when these become available.
Getting There
A: At the Dungog Common Recreation Reserve, entry via 74 Common Road, Dungog NSW 2420. It’s just a short drive or 1.5km walk from the town centre.
A: Yes, free parking is available on-site at the Dungog Common. Follow signage and the instructions of parking volunteers on arrival.
A: Dungog is serviced by trains from Newcastle, Maitland and Sydney. The Common is approximately 1.5km from the station – a 30 minute walk, 4 min drive, or 10 min bike ride.
A: Not this year. However, a shuttle service will operate within the Dungog Common during exhibition hours, transporting visitors from the lower car park to the top of the Common, with multiple stops along the way. Patrons can hop on or off at these points to explore the sculptures and enjoy the scenery.The shuttle bus is included in the $10 Entry Ticket.
A: No, the internal gravel road is reserved exclusively for shuttle buses transporting mountain bike riders and exhibition visitors, as well as for emergency service vehicles if needed. Ample parking is available at the Dungog Common entrance, with walking paths or a shuttle service running (included in Entry Ticket price) between the exhibition hub and the top of Dungog Common.
Accessibility
A: Dungog Common covers 650 acres of natural bushland with open grassy areas and wooded sections filled with mature native trees. The walk from the bottom entrance on Common Road to the top involves a steady incline over approximately 1km – it’s manageable but may be too challenging for some. If you prefer not to walk, please take advantage of the SOF shuttle bus (included in the Entry Ticket, you must have your coloured wrist band) running up and down the Common, with stops at various points to help you explore comfortably. Toward the top, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Barrington Tops, Gloucester Tops, and Dungog Township.
A: The Dungog Common features mostly grass and gravel, uneven, sloping surfaces, which may present challenges for wheelchairs or mobility aids.
A: Yes. Please inform the volunteer parking assistants at the carpark entry. They will direct you to the designated accessible parking area closer to the exhibition. Don’t forget to display your disability parking permit.
A: No, we recommend bringing your own. For specific assistance, please contact us prior to your visit.
Event Experience
A: We recommend allowing at least 2-3 hours to fully enjoy the exhibition. Wander through the marquee showcasing smaller works, hop on the shuttle to explore large-scale outdoor sculptures around the Dungog Common, attend a sculptor talk or workshop, enjoy live music, and grab a bite from our local food and drink vendors. Make a day of it – bring a picnic and soak up the beautiful surroundings!
A: Yes! A selection of food vendors, a coffee van plus cool drinks will be available on-site throughout the exhibition.
A: Yes, including accessible toilet facilities.
A: Dogs are allowed on the Dungog Common, but are not allowed in the Sculpture on the Farm Exhibition Marquee. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
A: Yes. Around 100 chairs and a number of shaded tables will be available near the exhibition hub, and several picnic tables are dotted throughout the Dungog Common. You're also welcome to bring a picnic rug and make yourself comfortable.
A: A number of the exhibiting artists will attend and engage with visitors. Artist talks will be scheduled across the exhibition weekend as detailed in the exhibition program.
A: Yes, a printed colour catalogue is included in the $10 Entry Ticket and will be available at the exhibiton entry point.
A: Yes the online catalogue will be available for PREVIEW on Friday 15 August and available LIVE for SALES on Friday 29 August at 9am. Online Sales will be available until 30 September 2025.
Weather and Conditions
A: Yes, it’s an all-weather event! Please dress for the conditions with sturdy footwear, umbrellas, and raincoats as needed.
Comfortable clothing, sturdy shoes and a hat/sunscreen.
Families and Groups
A: Absolutely! Children are welcome however please supervise them closely near the artworks, mountain bike tracks and other users of the Common.

Sculpture Purchases
A: Yes! All sculptures are for sale. Buying a work supports the artist and regional arts in the Dungog Shire and the ongoing viablity of Sculpture on the Farm Inc.
A: Sculptures can be purchased online via our website from anywhere in the world.
Before making a purchase online, please ensure your daily transaction limit is sufficient for your intended payment. During the exhibition, our on-site sales team will also be available at the SOF Sales Hub to assist with purchases.
A: Yes. Indoor works or maquettes will be exhibited in the Indoor Exhibiton Marquee. In addition garden and courtyard works will be exhibited and for sale.
A: The Sculpture on the Farm 2025 Exhibition closes at 2:00pm on Sunday 31 August.
Collections of both purchased and unsold works can be made:

Please note: There’s a 30-minute delay after the exhibition closes before collections begin on Sunday, to allow visitors to safely exit the exhibition area before vehicle access is permitted.

At collection, you’ll be given a SOF Release Document. You’ll need to present this when leaving the Dungog Common with your sculpture.

If someone else is collecting the sculpture for you, they must be authorised at the time of purchase.
A: Please visit the SOF Sales Hub. Volunteers will direct you to your work and assist with collection. Be ready to present your SOF Release Document, which you’ll receive from the Sales Hub.
A: If you’ve purchased a large work, you’ll need to arrange transport in collaboration with the sculptor. This should be organised at the time of purchase and confirmed with the SOF Sales Team at .
Note: No large works can be removed from the site without prior approval from Sculpture on the Farm Inc.
A: Insurance is not provided by Sculpture on the Farm. Please remember that it is your responsibility to take out the appropriate level of insurance on your newly acquired sculpture.
