Exploring material vitality. I want to be disinterested, to view these material constructions, to take their material presence, their posture, the vitality inherent in their structure and see where they sit. To allow them to be practically nothing and vitally present.
Right to Left symbolises a time of inner frustration – moving in all directions without getting anywhere. Yet even when stuck inside a box there is still space to move and look beyond.

Wooden Marquette for corten steel sculpture. Completed as part of Honors final year at NAS. A modified U-shaped armature is tipped on it’s side, producing a small formal modern piece.
