I have made life size vehicles from old cars and trucks for myself and for others. This is a design for a different kind of truck or farm vehicle – I might make it to drive in.

Making work from defunct material is my way – I have worked on farms and on tractors. This tractor is from my imagination.

Weightless

Slowly descending, spiralling, as on a breeze. Formed around a tensegrity structure. Weightless, hidden in the form, seems to levitate. Holding itself in wonder allowing the feathers to fly and fall.

From deep in the ground, formed in fire and in time, resembling those waves of our earth that rise and fall imperceptibly.

The All Seeing Eye is in flux over what it sees in the world today. It seeks to ground itself as it tries to find calm and a smooth path.

The relationship between man and horse, gaining trust between each other. Riding for 12 hours mustering cattle, falling to the ground, only to have Samson put his nose against my face to comfort me.

Ball and Chain

The Ball and Chain is symbolic of the tie that farmers have to their land. The curves are from horse-drawn cart rims cut in half. The rims, barbed wire and chain comes from a farm in Young NSW.
