In my metal sculpture titled ‘Transient and Steadfast’ I explore the captivating relationship between a gust of leaves and a sturdy vine, intertwining to create a visual representation of symbiosis. This artwork delves into the profound interplay between the transient nature of the gust of leaves and the enduring presence of the vine, highlighting the beauty and significance of having something temporary, paired with something more permanent.
‘M-fiftyeight’ continues my journey with radial arcs and what can be done with them. I still enjoy seeing what happens every time I make a new sculpture with curves.
‘Bathing Woman Flowing’ flows and moves in a state of weightlessness both solid and flowing.
Changing states, solid becomes liquid, mass becomes weightless. ‘Bathing Woman Flowing’ is a reflection of all these elements, hard weighted stainless steel is transformed; the figure becomes almost weightless and flowing.
Please note that any commissions of this sculpture will be similar, but not exactly the same. I am happy to discuss this aspect with a potential purchaser. The intriguing result, when a series of rings and negative space can visually form a sphere.
Whilst this is a unique sculpture. It may be possible to commission a similar style, subject to a discussion with a potential purchaser. Sometimes during construction, I allow the materials to find their own form. The sculpture takes control, it knows the direction it wants to go, it knows what it wants to be.

Death of a Star is my attempt to represent the concept of destruction and rebirth as a universal constant.
Slowly descending, spiralling, as on a breeze. Formed around a tensegrity structure. Weightless, hidden in the form, seems to levitate. Holding itself in wonder allowing the feathers to fly and fall.
Our work aims to illuminate the interconnectedness between the tree and its roots system and to illustrate the secret language of trees.
The polished surface of the figure also wears the environment it is in, as a second skin, reflecting all the changes of light and sky in a dynamic way, nothing remains static.
Exploring material vitality. I want to be disinterested, to view these material constructions, to take their material presence, their posture, the vitality inherent in their structure and see where they sit. To allow them to be practically nothing and vitally present.
King’s last monumental sculpture, Celestial Rings I, is an iconic piece designed to adorn a courtyard or an outdoor setting. In this sculpture, King combines simplicity and clarity of form with grace and elegance. A geometric balance is engendered by the ellipses, orbits and rings, whilst the brilliance of the brushed surface, done with an angle grinder, creates an unexpected lightness and floating movement that changes with the weather and the light. Reminiscent of Rings of Saturn 2005, her monumental sculpture at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Celestial Rings I, is an extraordinary work, the culmination of an illustrious career.
