Sculptor Bio

Anne-Maree Hunter

Anne-Maree Hunter

I have been practicing & exhibiting since 1989 with 20+ solo exhibitions, multiple group & selective exhibitions, recently showing at Straitjacket-Gallery. For my major exhibition “Atlas “at Maitland Regional Art Gallery, I developed a series of small, sculpted landscapes made from recycled paper installed into repurposed jewellery boxes.

I completed a Ph.D titled “Constructing the Eclectic Bibliothèque” about Artists’ Books at The University of Newcastle where I was lecturing.

My background is in Printmaking but taught across many disciplines, so my work is a mix of motifs and mediums.

As a Print & Artists-Book maker, my work is usually editioned.
