Location

This sculpture is constructed using a new technique that I have been working on, using balustrade wire and resin. During the process of making this piece the medium took on a life of its own, I had to let it go where it wanted, I had to let it flow.

It was a liberating experience for me as most of my work is very controlled, I learnt that letting go can be very rewarding.

Leasha Craig

Leasha Craig

2012 I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours Degree at Newcastle University.

University gave me the opportunity to explore all the disciplines and where my passion for sculpture evolved. I have been happily creating ever since, regularly exhibiting and undertaking commissions.

Within my practice I work in both the figurative and abstract genres, using aesthetic flowing forms to depict a sense of movement in all my work. I enjoy using mixed mediums and exploring how natural mediums complement man made materials.

I aspire to create artwork that uplifts and inspires people, unites communities, commemorates and enriches a space.

Collections

Leasha's work graces the homes and gardens of private collectors and public sites throughout Australia, United Kingdom, Singapore and America.
