This is ‘Muon’ with a gold lustred crown and a velvet glazed brain. It has a medium sized body of which the bottom half is glazed, the top half is biscuit.

Frank Winnips
Together with my partner, artist Patricia Van Lubeck, I run Studio Amsterdam in Maitland.
With a background in product design, I’ve worked with ceramics for the past three years. My main series, 'vaserines', are part vase, part figurine, featuring bodies in three sizes and interchangeable heads.
The work often explores pareidolia—the human tendency to see faces in objects. I cast each piece in mid-fire porcelain using plaster moulds made from my own 3D-printed masters.
All firing is powered by our 15 kW solar system, and my materials and processes are fully optimised for sustainable, energy-efficient production.
Exhibitions
My work is on permanent display in Studio Amsterdam and in the Maitland Regional Art Gallery.
I had a sell out exhibition in Newcastle Art Space last year as part of a group show '2320'.
