Location

The Spirit of the Tree? is an intervention based on the remains of the dead tree. I then imagine its former expanse, its strength, its radiance, its shade.

The drawing of this imagined tree is created by burning grass. It naturally depends on the terrain that hosts this remnant of the tree.

Sculptor Bio

Isabelle Bribosia

Isabelle Bribosia

Isabelle Bribosia, born 1968. From my studies at different Art School in Belgium and Spain, and later through my works, I evolved from the conceptual aspects of art to an ‘in situ’ approach based on the urbanistic, social and political environment of the exhibition or the venue.

Since the beginning, I have also always tried to maintain a focus on the aesthetic aspect of my works, which in conceptual art has the tendency to be neglected.

Over the years I have also had the privilege to be invited to exhibit my works in Spain, UK, Belgium, Japan, and China.
