Artist statement-I created Venus to represent a symbol that’s often hidden or objectified – the vulva
-By making it bigger and more visible, to create a space for people to confront their discomfort, celebrate their identity, and find healing.
The sculpture is both abstract and realistic with its gothic architecture inspired arch, pushing boundaries and challenging how we think about the body. Venus is a symbol of empowerment and visibility, reclaiming the vulva as a source of strength and beauty.

Magic Young
Magic Young is an emerging interdisciplinary artist based in Sydney. Her practice explores themes of identity, transformation, and feminist critique through interactive sculptural installations.
Working across a range of mediums, Young creates immersive, participatory works that invite audiences to engage in personal and collective reflection.
While at the National Art School, Young has exhibited in several student showcases, refining her material language and expanding her conceptual interests.
