The piece was a portion of a Column, that had broken. This had me thinking. A column is strong, to hold up buildings. Now broken, its luck had run out. So, the deep thinking man evolved. Why is this so? His brain transforming into dice and literally running out. He can’t understand why. The dice are yet to be finished, waiting on some glass beads for the dice numbers, which will be inset into the dice. Some polishing to do also. This will be done ASAP, by the August-no problem.

Working with stone has been developing in me for 25-30years. Primarily Helidon sandstone, building a house, fountain, BBQ, a 2.7m tall concentric arch “Portal” & 1 male bust portrait.
I loved the process but not the detail of the finish. Sandstone being too course. I attended 5-ten day marble sculpting courses and my love for marble sculpting became entrenched!
