Standing figure is a small sculpture for the large outdoor piece that accompanies it. Exploring the ideas of scale and composition of lines in space.
I was inspired by Alexander the Great’s horse, Becuphalus, and have tried to capture the electric energy and spirit of the battle horse.
My recent works are concerned with the symbolic effects of the cast shadow. The imagery draws on the Greek legend of Narcissus and Jung’s theory of the shadow as the ‘dark side of the self’.
