aqueous
a small untraceable droplet forms under the dark shadow of a cloud
suspended in the sky by the soft music of the universe, it begins collecting.
it grows, until it is too heavy for the sky to hold- and it falls.
it falls to the earth.
the untraceable droplet slips into the collective, it is swept apart.
now it is not a droplet at all.
the fragments of the droplet seep into the pounding veins of the earth.

Ulan & Rachel
We, Ulan Murray and Rachel Burns, are long-time partners in life and art. Our collaborative sculptural practice merges scientific curiosity with artistic sensitivity.
Drawing on our backgrounds in biology, horticulture, and fine arts, we explore the profound and often unseen connections between humanity and the natural world.
Ulan is a lapsed biologist and former horticulturist, while Rachel holds a Bachelor of Creative Arts with Honours. Our work speaks to a contemporary desire for stillness and presence, inviting viewers to reconnect with the intricate, often unseen relationships between people and the environment.
