Positioned in this open landscape, the work invites contemplation of our place within natural systems. The sculpture’s precarious balance reflects our own environmental moment – the delicate equilibrium we must find between technological progress and ecological wisdom.
The cube cannot stand alone; it requires the stone’s ancient stability to maintain its position. Jenny Reddin is a sculptor whose work is deeply rooted in a fascination with form and structure. Her artistic practice revolves around the manipulation of simple geometric shapes, primarily cubes, which she transforms into intricate and dynamic sculptures.
Reddin’s work captures a sense of equilibrium and grace, often challenging perceptions of gravity and stability.

Rock and A Hard Place | 2025
I am a sculptor with a deeply rooted fascination with form and structure. My work revolves around the manipulation of simple geometric shapes, primarily cubes, which I transform into intricate and dynamic sculptures. My work captures a sense of equilibrium and grace, often challenging perceptions of gravity and stability.
I use of metal which I weld into complex arrangements which are designed to interact with their environment in unexpected ways, appearing to hover, cascade, or spill across surfaces. They are reminiscent of natural elements such as tree roots or rock formations, each piece balancing a sense of organic growth with industrial precision.
