Please note that any commission of this sculpture will be similar, but not exactly the same. I am happy to discuss this aspect or offer the option of other types of birds. A scene of 3 cheerful Kookaburras, perched together as they share a laugh or two. Kookaburras are symbolic of celebrating the emotional connections we have with people during our lives. Each bird is hand drawn and hand cut in Corten steel.

I have always loved drawing, and enjoy the process of sketching with chalk on steel and then hand cutting with a plasma cutter. My designs are inspired by the abundant birdlife that frequent my rural home, and I seek to capture scenes in nature and the unique characteristics and interaction of its inhabitants.
Together with my artist husband Jeff, I reside in the rural Victorian village of Jindivick. Surrounded by rolling hills and plentiful wildlife, our studio is in a disused dairy on our small farm. As a creative duo, we at times collaborate on projects to create sculptures that reflect a combination of our design styles.
Since 2016 I have regularly exhibited at NSW Sculpture shows, (including Mudgee, Jindabyne, Bermagui, Orange, and Sculpture on the Farm, Dungog) together with Brighton Jetty Sculpture SA, Melbourne Flower and Garden Show, and other Victorian events. My work has also been commissioned as commemorative public art.
