‘Renascent’ proclaims optimism, resourcefulness and promise.
Drought, fires, flood – the catastrophes keep slamming us. Yet from what seems like nothing, nature fights back – astonishing things appear, take root and blossom.
Discarded steel transforms into an item of beauty, brimming with energy and aspiration.
‘Renascent’ will be displayed with the entry ‘Flourishing’

Sculptor Bio
Jenny Green
My sculptures are typically abstract, yet often influenced by the figure. Using lines, shapes and colours. I aim to capture a moment, a movement, a feeling. While my media may be industrial (steel, bronze, resin), my works are light and airy. With a BFA from National Art School, I've been sculpting for 20 years, and I exhibit in solo and group shows.
I first started sculpting as a hobby while working in IT. After several years I felt the pull to spend more time as an artist and undertook a BFA at the National Art School. For some 20 years, I've worked in my studio in Brookvale on Sydney's Northern Beaches.
Finalist in numerous prizes including:
Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize,
North Sydney Art Prize,
Northern Beaches Art Prize,
Sculpture at Sawmillers,
University of Western Sydney Sculpture Award,
Hornsby Art Prize,
Tom Bass Prize for Figurative Sculpture,
