The mythology of masks spans cultures and time periods. They have been used in many fanciful and imagined ways.
Wearing a mask means anonymity, concealment, disguise and mystique. Sometimes they have allowed the wearer to cross boundaries, to pretend to be someone else. In recent times, as a desire to protect oneself from illness.
Each of the Masquerade masks has an identity connected to their representation :
Gold – Chrys
Silver – Siren
Copper – Cu-Bot

I live in Sydney and studied at Sydney College of the Arts and a number of short courses at National Art School. My work is exhibited regularly and involves fortified, hand-dyed textiles, recycled material and foraging for other bits and pieces.
