Location

This is a tribute to the land that nurtured me: a land of extremes.

Of stunningly beautiful landscapes of rolling hills and valleys with sunlight playing across peaks and troughs.

Of erosion cutting swathes through hills and gullies; cattle and sheep sitting heavily under dotted trees of sparsely vegetated paddocks.

A land of enduringly complex, frequently shifting relationships.

Michael Ferris

My work focuses on simple botanical form, challenging traditional methods to transform ordinary materials into something eye catching whilst revealing an unexpected form in a previously unseen way.

I want my creations to look like they could have lived or grown somewhere.

Living with beautiful objects that pay tribute to the natural world reminds us to slow down and helps us reconnect with nature.
