I am a Painter and Ceramic artist I like to combine both mediums in my work.
In my ceramic practice I make vases which I decorate in many different ways.
In Rose Vase I have manipulated the form in this work so the vase and flowers are one. The dark clay provides a background to the glazes and some of the background comes through adding line and texture.

Margaret Westcott
I am a ceramicist for over 10 year and I make functional and sculptural ceramics. My works are a response to the environment figuratively and in abstract. I make forms usually vases and use them as a canvas for my semi and abstract painting. I am a member of the Ceramic Association and for many years was a member of the Sculpture Society.
In Pearl Beach I am part of the #pearlbeachartist community art group, organising
regular art trails and art fairs in the Pearl Beach Arboretum.
I manage a Pottery Studio, Gladesville Hospital since 2011.
