Shimmer is part of an ongoing series that explores the concept of change. In early pieces, my focus was on the avoidance of the unknown that often accompanies change.
I aimed to articulate this unknown by incorporating colour and negative space in chaotic arrangements of tangled clay strips.
Over time, these evolved into simpler forms, using the Mobius strip as a visual metaphor for continual movement and flow.

My ceramic sculptures explore the concept of change. I use ceramic techniques and to create clay ribbons in various thicknesses, widths, colours, and textures. While still supple, I construct these ribbons into forms designed to capture a sense of balance within movement.
