The evocative form of this piece is organic for many and can seem aquatic, avian or equine or even somewhat alien. For me it is a beautiful and simple shape that expresses a primal form.
2020 told us to avoid contact with others, while going through a global pandemic. It has been the most powerful year of self discovery into our resilience and power of connectivity.
Mandala represents strength and wholeness in community. Australians have gone through and are still going through some pretty tough times, community has become more important than ever.
Why do I always try to generalise everything? Absolutes simplify the complexity but they are incomplete.
I’m not free of my mind’s way of showing me reality.
My belief of independence comes from understanding how my thoughts, my actions, feelings and emotions are consequences of experiences. How much of what I am is truly mine?
The sky is a source of solace and beauty that invites quietude and contemplation. I hope to evoke calm and convey the feeling that nature is in us and all around us.
