Structure for Human Behaviour
$10,000
Human needs and wants remove the living heart of the tree which is segmented to build a temporary structure. The bark remains as a shadow of the former living tree. Nature meets human technology.
Cast aluminium, 19th century hand cut ironbark shingles, galvanised iron.

Vlase Nikoleski
I was born in Ohrid, North Macedonia,
Emigrated as a young man to Australia,
Enrolled in School of Art, Hobart (1970),
Graduated from VCA VIC (1975),
Completed research MFA UNSW (1987),
Enrolled in research PhD Deacon VIC (1998). I am currently living and working near Lake Macquarie NSW in Awabakal country.
My five decades of art practice has been preoccupied with the environmental affects of human activities using both conventional and non conventional materials.
