A graceful cloaked figure pose stands with her feet on earth the colours of her cloak lighten as her physical body reaches the sky.
The ceramic installation represents the ‘stream’ of pollution and plastic flowing into our creeks, rivers and waterways.
A symbiotic relationship with a horse and a bird.

Horn Bill is interesting to me because it’s not a bird we see alot of, I had a lot of fun researching different photos and angles to really do justice to the likeness to this species.
My oldest dog sits in this position all the time, I like the lines in the pose. I have wanted to make this work for a while now.
The proud rooster looks after its flock and would defend it to the end.

I am amazed by how many animals have a symbiotic relationship with each other. This work was inspired by a bird I saw eating insects off the back of a steer.
I like to observe the Wedgetail Eagles flying above our property in Central Victoria. Bunjil, is the aboriginal word for this eagle and a creation God who took to the skies to watch over its people.

The Australian Kelpie was one of the original dogs bred for Australian conditions. It can muster stock with little or no guidance and make very playful and loyal pets.

I imagine that modern man can be heart-centred and powerful. Here he discovers, with surprise, his hidden attributes. And then he puts his ego aside gently moves the world forward.
Seeds and pods are an ongoing fascination of mine. Symbolic of fertility and power, I see them as nascent with life and all its mysteries.
There are many exquisite forms within a horse. The sensitivity and intelligence known by these creatures is also explored here. Centred on found driftwood, the character has grown from there.
