This sculpture evolved from the lagoon near my home and inspired by the waterbirds that nest in the reeds and trees.
I worked very hard to produce this my double, my doppelgänger!!
When the wind stirs so does he.
Would you rather be there or here? Lamenting being there or in the here and now. And what of the space in between- the journey between here and THERE.
Looks great along fence line.
Slowly descending, spiralling, as on a breeze. Formed around a tensegrity structure. Weightless, hidden in the form, seems to levitate. Holding itself in wonder allowing the feathers to fly and fall.
This work, from the Allusive Object series, continues my exploitation of the miraculous cold inflated steel method. The inter-reflective mirrored stainless steel surfaces become elusively formless.

From deep in the ground, formed in fire and in time, resembling those waves of our earth that rise and fall imperceptibly.
Exploring analogies with the Schrödinger cat as it squeezed out of time and matter. Challenging the viewer to contemplate more deeply existence. The space between the gin and the tonic.
This piece is inspired from the islands of granite boulders providing a safe place for trees to take up residence.
