Peace Takes Flight | 2023

‘Peace Takes Flight’ presents as a captivating sculpture – a large geometrical dove suspended 5 meters high. Symbolizing peace, it is illuminated from behind with warm hues. Its graceful movements, influenced by the wind. Geometry merges with nature, reflecting balance in a modern age. This sculpture’s enigmatic play of light and shadow sparks introspection, as shapes are cast across it’s chiseled sides. At each angle, the piece expresses shapes differently. At nightfall, it changes yet again, this illuminated spirit takes flight.

Metallic Lilypads after Monet | 2023

‘Metallic Water Lilypads’ is a nature based, eco-friendly sculpture to be installed in a dam, pond or any suitable farm waterbody that can use the natural light bouncing off the recycled CDs to create a spectacle when placed in water. Each of the lily pads refracts sunlight to reflect the colours of the surrounding farming area, changing shades as the sun changes position. Depending on what time a lily pad is viewed, it could be grey, pink, blue, or green.

The Messenger | 2023

The Messenger delivers the message to the underdog, the lost, the bullied, the anti-hero, the working-class hero, the woman maligned forgotten in a harsh landscape of life amongst it’s peers. All of these figures function in a multiplicity, against a suburban backdrop, which comes with its own cultural connotations of inertia, entrapment, and conformity, a truth bearing reminder that the smallest things are the most significant and that the most ordinary people are the most extraordinary.

The Defiant | 2023

This sculpture is that of a highly abstracted person standing defiantly in front of the viewer. The Defiant represents those who stand up to brutes and bullies to preserve their freedom, values and culture. Whislt inspired by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, some have remarked that it has a bit of a Ned Kelly look. It consists of salvaged stainless steel.

The sculpture comes with a mounting plate that would enable easy installation on a concrete plinth.

Uasal Damh – The Noble Stag | 2023

My admiration of the animal – The Stag – led me to create this artwork. I love working with steel, it starts as a cold and inflexible medium, and develops into something of beauty and resilience. A piece that will last forever!

Happy Hour | 2023

Please note that any commission of this sculpture will be similar, but not exactly the same. I am happy to discuss this aspect or offer the option of other types of birds. A scene of 3 cheerful Kookaburras, perched together as they share a laugh or two. Kookaburras are symbolic of celebrating the emotional connections we have with people during our lives. Each bird is hand drawn and hand cut in Corten steel.
